Pitch, Hit & Run Competition on Opening Day

High Park T-Ball will host a free Aquafina Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run Competition for boys and girls in the 7/8 year old age division (those born July 18, 2001 to July 17, 2003) on Saturday, May 15, 2010, immediately after Opening Day ceremonies, commencing at approximately 1:00 p.m.  Pitch, Hit & Run is the Official Skills Competition of Major League Baseball. This grassroots program is designed to provide youngsters with an opportunity to compete, free of charge, in a  competition that recognizes individual excellence in core baseball skills.  Competitors have the chance to advance through four levels of competition, including the Team Championships at  Rogers Centre and the National Finals at the 2010 MLB All-Star Game in Anaheim, California.  The individual Pitching, Hitting and Running Champions, along with the All-Around Champion will be awarded and advance to the Sectional Level of Competition.  All participants must fill out a registration/waiver form prior to the start of the competition.  Registration forms will be distributed by house league coaches prior to Opening Day.

T-Ball Field Renewed

New T-Ball Infield

With funds raised by the High Park T-Ball Association, and with support from the City of Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation Division, the T-Ball diamond in High Park is being refurbished. A hundred tons of limestone screenings were needed to raise the infield and improve the drainage. The contractor, Mar-Co Clay, has also leveled and repaired the outfield grass. Thank you to all the supporters who have contributed to our fund raising activities and made this renewal possible!
