News 2006Mariners win 2006 Championship
High Park T-ball teams showcased their skills and enthusiasm in the 2006 playoffs. All the players have learned a great deal and improved tremendously in just five months. We saw diving catches, accurate throws, line drives, home runs, double plays, and great teamwork. Congratulations to all the players and teams for another great season of T-Ball in High Park! Congratulations to this year's finalists, the Phillies, and the 2006 Champions of High Park T-Ball: the Mariners! 2006 BanquetThe annual High Park T-Ball Awards Banquet was held on Sunday, October 1st at the Oasis Banquet Hall. More than 300 participants celebrated the success of the 2006 season. After a tasty meal,every player and coach received a trophy in recognition of their contributions. Thanks to everyone who made this another great season! High Park All-Stars Win Third Tournament of 2006!The High Park T-Ball All-Stars completed a season sweep by winning the Silver-Tee T-Ball Tournament hosted by the LaSalle Turtle Club in Windsor, Ontario. Congratulations, Braves, on a fabulous season! Thanks also to the tournament organizers who put on a great event on the weekend of August 11-13.
High Park All-Stars Win 2006 World T-Ball Championship!Congratulations to the winners of the 2006 World Invitational T-Ball Tournament, the High Park T-Ball All-Stars! The Braves have now won this championship ten times in the last fifteen years! This was the 37th edition of the tournament which is held annually in Ancaster, Ontario. This year dozens of teams participated in the four day event on the Civic Holiday weekend. High Park extends a hearty thank you to the tournament organizers and volunteers who made it a great success once again!
Each team played 7 games at the tournament; the All-Stars lost only one game all weekend, and completed their performance with an impressive 24-12 win over Windsor Central in the championship game. The Selects lost only one game on their way to the AAA final, finishing with a record of 5 wins and 2 losses. Congratulations to all the Braves, who demonstrated once again the strength of the T-Ball program in High Park. Thank you to all the coaches who put in long hours of practice with our young ball-players to prepare for them for the competition. And thanks to all the parents who have supported the teams throughout the season.
