There will be two divisions—American and National. Teams within the divisions will play four games in a round robin format. Although there are six teams in each division, they will play only four of the other teams in the division. Teams within the division will be ranked based on the results of the round robin.
In the second round, teams will play single-elimination playoffs. The matchups will be based on standings in the round robin. The fifth and sixth place teams in each division will not advance. The final will be decided by a best 2 of 3 series.
